Insomnia – an imbalance

You are tossing and turning around every night, have vivid and disturbing dreams, still can't sleep or can't sleep? It may be that you have Chi energy imbalance.

Quiet sleep is a sign of internal wisdom balance. Sleep, like healthy eating and exercise, is an important part of your health. Frequent sleep disturbances can lower your energy levels and mental capacity. It can have a negative impact on your mood, increase the time it takes to recover from the disease, and make you more prone to anxiety and depression.

Type of insomnia

When observing insomnia, TCM believes that there are four main types, each with a different cause, so different treatments are used.

Dream uneasy sleep: from

 Do you often dream? Does your dream affect your sleep quality? If you find that you have a nightmare, then you may have a gallbladder meridian imbalance. If you find that you can't fall asleep, because your mind is always overspeeding, you may have spleen meridians imbalance.

hard to fall asleep: from

 Are you lying down and sleeping, turning back and forth for hours? You may have imbalances in the liver and meridians.

Wake up easily: from

 Are you easy to fall asleep, but then wake up and find it hard to fall asleep again? This may indicate an imbalance in the spleen.

Wake up at a specific time each night from

 : Did you find that whenever you fall asleep, you will wake up at night? In TCM theory, the body's intelligence passes through twelve major meridian cycles at specific times of the day, each passing two hours. Each meridian is associated with internal organs, each associated with a particular mood.

* 11 pm – 1 am: indicates gallbladder imbalance

* 1 am – 3 am: indicates liver imbalance

* 3 am – 5 am: indicates lung imbalance

* 5 am – 7 am: indicates large intestine imbalance

Cause of insomnia

From the perspective of Chinese medicine, insomnia originates from the disharmony of the heart and nerves. Shen [a ambition] can be thought of as your mental or psychological, and the heart is responsible for accommodating Shen. ' The destruction of the ability of the heart by the heart or the deterioration of the sink itself can lead to insomnia.

The following meridian systems and Chi imbalances can affect the ability of the heart to accommodate sinking or directly disturbing sinking:

Yin/yang imbalance

Insufficient quiet [insufficient yin energy] or excessive stimulation [excessive yang] can increase Shen. This yin/yang imbalance can increase yin energy through meditation, ChiYo, breathing exercises or listening to relaxed music, and reduce yang energy by avoiding excessive mental stimulation, especially before going to bed.

Spleen meridian imbalance

Overwork, physical or mental exhaustion, excessive worry and over-consideration, irregular eating, excessive intake of colds and raw food can damage your temper. Since the spleen is responsible for blood production, if the spleen is weak, the heart is heavy.

Kidney meridian imbalance

Like all organs of the body, the kidneys store energy. When the kidneys are damaged in their ability to store energy, anxiety and fear, traumatic experience, aging, major illnesses, colds and overwork, and its vain exhaustion, it will not nourish or support the heart, so Shen can't rest.

Hepatic meridian imbalance

Anxiety, anger, irritability, depression, resentment, depression, over-stress, high-fat foods and alcohol can impair the normal function of the liver, leading to qi stagnation. This hepatic stagnation causes a decrease in blood flow to the heart and a decrease in the ability of the heart to sink. Overtime, this stagnation can cause heat to rise and destroy the heart and sink.

Gastric meridian imbalance

Excessive indulgence in greasy or sweet food can cause retention of sputum in the gastric juice, causing heat to sag.
