Items that may be detained by customs

If you allow access to a country, there are many foreign items that can cause harm to people, animals and the environment. Government agencies have to make rules and regulations on the types of items that can enter and leave their country. Many shipping companies maintain a list of items that cannot be shipped to comply with airline, customs, agricultural and other government agencies. There are many factors that can cause a project to be denied access to a country. This may violate aviation dangerous goods regulations, government regulations, biosafety regulations, safety regulations and dangerous goods regulations. The goods may also lack corresponding documents.

Most companies declare that shippers are responsible for ensuring that their items enter another country. Although prohibited items may appear harmless, in some cases they can easily become dangerous. For example, air pressure and temperature fluctuations can cause prohibited items to leak, ignite or explode. Before shipping items, you should make sure that you are not allowed to enter a country.

The following is a list of items most likely to be missed by customs agents:
