There are many different styles of massage there. Your favorite type depends on your personal preference or the body you are craving. If you are not familiar with massage, then the choice seems overwhelming. We have compiled a list and description of the most popular therapeutic massage styles, so you have at least a basic knowledge.
Swedish massage is the basis of many Western massages, including sports massages, deep tissue massages and aromatherapy massages. The name originated from the inventor of Swedish technology in the 1800s.
Usually, Swedish massage is accepted naked and covered with a sheet. The therapist only finds the part of the body he/she is doing. This technique is called "dragging." However, a modest customer may feel that it is more acceptable to keep the underwear more comfortable.
Massage therapist uses massage oil or lotion to smooth out smooth, sliding strokes pat. Other classic Swedish massage moves include kneading, rubbing, stretching and [sometimes] tapping. These are the basic strokes that the therapist flows from one technique to another from mild to medium pressure.
2. Deep tissue massage
This type of massage therapy focuses on reaching and affecting the deep layers of muscle and connective tissue.
Typically, it is used to assist areas of long-term tension and contraction, such as stiff necks, tight back muscles and sore shoulders.
Most strokes are the same as those mentioned in Swedish massage, but they are slower and more stressful. The therapist uses the thumb and elbows to penetrate deep into the muscle tissue to fight adhesions in the muscles, tendons and ligaments [pain, stiff tissue band].
The role of deep tissue massage is to restore normal muscle function and movement by physically breaking down these adhesions. It feels normal to feel a little stiff or pain after a deep tissue massage, but it should be resolved in a day or so.
Athletes and active people often use deep tissue massage to keep the body from harm and get ready for action.
3. Sports massage
Sports massage has some common purposes with other forms of massage. The therapist must fully understand the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system. By understanding the effects of these systems and movements, smart application massage can benefit athletes and become an integral part of athlete training programs.
The basic strokes are similar, but are applied in a more therapeutic manner according to the athlete's requirements. Stretching is incorporated into the massage, and the therapist can focus on a part of the body rather than the whole.
Exercise massage can be performed 45 minutes before the event, one hour after the event, or as part of the athlete's regular training program.
4. Lomi Lomi Massage
Lomi Lomi is a Hawaiian-style massage. Perhaps this can be understood by another name of Lomi Lomi, which is the "love" massage.
To understand the depth of Lomi Lomi massage, it is helpful to understand the Hawaiian Huna philosophy and how Huna's philosophy relates to body and treatment. Huna just believes that everything seeks harmony and everything seeks love.
Lomi Lomi gently penetrates the muscles with continuous, smooth strokes, completely nourishes the body, allowing the recipient to relax, yield, and simply enter. Therefore, technology is an important part of massage, but most of the work is done through love, the therapist uses love and love to focus on the customer.
The total energy, the long-running brush strokes and the touch of love relax the entire existence. The goal is to help give up old beliefs, patterns and behaviors that lead to restrictions that are stored in the cells of our body.
5. Shiatsu massage
When visiting a practitioner of Shiatsu massage, wear thin, loose, comfortable clothes such as cotton or linen. In traditional Shiatsu massage, you can lie on the floor, beaded mat or futon.
Shiatsu is based on the overall system of traditional Chinese medicine, where the disease is thought to be due to an imbalance in the flow of natural energy, or through the body's qi [pronounced "chee"].
The practitioner will use their fingers and thumb to apply pressure to specific points on the body's energy pathway [called meridiens]. They often use other techniques such as swinging, stretching and joint rotation. Another treatment called acupressure is based on a shiatsu massage system.
6. Thai massage
Thai massage is the first ancient massage developed in India thousands of years ago, only by Buddhist monks. Thai culture later adopted the same techniques as modern massage.
As with shiatsu massage, wear thin, loose, comfortable clothes as you can lie flat on the floor, beaded mat or futon.
Thai massage is more energetic and rigorous than a more classic massage, often referred to as a Thai yoga massage.
The therapist uses his or her hands, knees, legs and feet to bring you into a series of yoga-like stretches. Muscle compression, joint mobilization and acupressure are other techniques used by Thai therapists.
People describe Thai massage as relaxing and energetic. Some people say it is like yoga without any work.Click here!Omg. New Health Offer Crushing It With Unique Ancient Chinese Remedy Hook.
